“I enjoy the daily challenge of being faced with new and different issues to look into and offer guidance towards resolution.”

Chris grew up in a family of public school educators. He is the son of a retired teacher (who also happens to have been his favorite teacher!) and nephew to a retired superintendent and teacher. He graduated from Webb City High School before continuing his education at the University of Oklahoma graduating with distinction.  Chris then obtained his J.D. from Washburn University School of Law in Topeka, Kansas, where he was a member of the law journal.  While in Topeka, he interned for a United States Magistrate Judge.  He then went on to serve as a judicial law clerk in the Eastern District of Missouri.

Before joining EdCounsel, Chris worked as in house counsel for a large corporation then in general civil litigation for a private Kansas City law firm.  During his career, he has handled a wide range of legal issues, allowing him to provide EdCounsel’s clients with excellent legal guidance.

Chris enjoys spending his free time with his family.  He currently resides in Kansas City with his two daughters, Ellie, a fourth grader, and Caitlin who is starting kindergarten this year. Both girls attend Park Hill schools and badly want their dad to get a dog.
